Satya interviews local hip-hop artist KONG

Higher Quality (faster connection or less patience) :
Download (~12mb)

Medium Quality (lower bandwith) :
Not yet available

Catch this great interview that reminisces about the early days of hip-hop in Minneapolis. There's an embedded bonus of "A Hip-Hop Primer for White Folk." Kong is from the Igloo Knobs.

So very many people love you, Thomas.

And no one who has ever met you has forgotten you; your presence is that strong. And lots of folk are saying they can feel you now...

February 2 from now on is "The Day of the Kong"! It's the day of Kong transitioning from his body.

Kong, also known as Thomas Kelly, had a brain aneurysm Jan. 9 and never regained consciousness. This afternoon his family, upon learning that he was basically brain-dead now, decided to let him go. He was taken off life support, and slipped away quickly. Thomas was in his late thirties.

But, of course, he lives on in many, many ways. I plan to caucus for Obama on Tuesday in his name. Anyone else who knew him who may peep in here, please do likewise. It will make him smile, I know!
